Viva First is the first free mobile banking app and Visa™ debit card designed with the Latino community in mind. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help drive innovation. This software engineer should be passionate about full-stack and mobile application development. This engineer will play an instrumental role in building products that service the Viva First customer base.

Responsibilities
- Full-stack web/mobile application development in JavaScript and Typescript
- Work closely with our PM and design team to define feature specifications and build products leveraging frameworks such as React & React Native
- Work closely with operations and infrastructure to build and scale back-end services
- Regularly participate in code reviews and other team functions
- Lead development of the next-generation mobile application to power the Viva First digital banking experience.
Experience Required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development
- Strong CS fundamentals and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to work as part of a team and with 3rd party technology providers
- Experience programming in one or more general-purpose programming languages, including but not limited to: JavaScript, Java, Python, C/C++, or Go
- Experience with the following is required: Typescript (Which runs on Node.js), GraphQL, AWS, React Native, React
- Effective communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to give and receive constructive feedback
- The ability to discuss and explain system architecture and component design
- Experience designing, building, and deploying mobile applications in the iOS and Android stores.
- Financial Technology experience is preferred.
